YORK HAVEN Catherine Killinger Conley, 98, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at her residence. She left this place for a better home in heaven. She was born April 12, 1915, in Yocumtown, a daughter of the late John and Harriet (Houck) Killinger. She grew up in the Etters area and lived most of her life there. She attended the Yocumtown Church of God and later attended Ambassadors Bible Chapel. She married James F. Conley on Christmas Eve 1941 at Yocumtown Church of God. He passed away after 50 years of marriage in 1995. She had worked for the York Cone Company making York Peppermint Patties, and later worked at the New Cumberland Box Factory. She also helped her husband with the chores on their farm. She enjoyed driving their John Deere tractor. She is survived by two children, Ruth A. Conley of York Haven, and James E. Conley and his wife Judy of Ephrata; three grandchildren, Jane Wolf of Carlisle, Joy Conley of Akron, and James E. Conley, Jr. and his wife Tracy of East Earl; three great-grandchildren, Bethany Conley of Denver, James E. Conley III of Ephrata, and Jennie Conley of Akron; and one great-great-grandson, Bentley Goshert. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Miriam Killinger, and five brothers, John, George, Robert, Richard and Franklin Killinger. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Ambassadors Bible Chapel, 3000 York Haven Road, Manchester, with her pastor, The Rev. David Slautterback officiating. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Salem Fishing Creek Cemetery. William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
