Folkemer YORK Catherine I. (Albright) Folkemer, 92, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late J. Paul Folkemer. She was a partner in life of Clyde P. Hilker for 32 years. She was born in Stoverstown, on November 7, 1919, daughter of the late Calvin H. and Laura M. (Lefever) Albright. Catherine was a homemaker, farmer, quilter, enjoyed gardening, and was a loving caretaker of various members of her family. She was a member of St. Jacobs Lutheran Church, York New Salem, St. Jacobs Lutheran Church Golden Age Group, Spring Grove V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and the York New Salem Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include five daughters and their families of her loving partner in life, loving them as her own; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three nieces; and four nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Gordon, Elmer, and George Albright; a son, Rodney Hilker; a niece, Pamela Stone; and a nephew, Barry Albright. Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church, 99 E. George St., York New Salem. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Lisa Hair. Final resting place will be in St. Jacob's Union Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
