YORK God called Catherine (Jones) Robinson, 81, home on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Catherine was born on April 9, 1932, in Hoffman, N.C., to the late Adam and Mary Magdalene Jones. During her years of employment in Bridgeport, Conn., she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was a hairdresser. Catherine loved to make people feel good about themselves, cooking, baking, and most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and talking about her grandchildren. Catherine was affectionately known as "Aunt Cath" or "Mrs. Cath". Catherine leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Abraham Green; her caregiver and daughter, Patricia Jones, and a stepdaughter, Davina Cody, both of York; two sons, Ralph Jones and wife, Maggie, and George Jones and wife, Barbara, both of York; three stepsons, Lamont Cody, Steven Green, and Alonzo Green, all of New York; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of other family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by two sons, Frank and Earl Jones; four brothers, Eugene, Charles, Jessie, and Johnny Lee Jones; a niece, Mae Catherine Simmons; a great-niece, Alesia (Bip) Martin; and a great nephew, Antonio Jones. A viewing is scheduled for Monday, September 9, 2013, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Boulding Mortuary, Inc. 471 Madison Ave., York, PA 17404 and A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.
