RED LION Charles C. DelPrete, 90, formerly of Bergenfield, N.J., passed away at 1:13 a.m., Sunday, November 4, 2012, at the Lebanon VA Hospital in Lebanon. He was the husband of Janet (Greenleaf) DelPrete whom he married 70 years ago on October 11, 1942. Charles was born May 29, 1922, in Englewood, New Jersey, the son of the late Nicholas and Mae (Hubbard) DelPrete. He owned and operated C&D Heating and Cooling and Charlie's Used Cars in Bergenfield, N.J. He was also an Antique Dealer in New Jersey where he bought and sold antiques. He was a member of the American Legion and Living Word Community Church. Mr. DelPrete proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army. He loved to be the center of laughing and roasting and being roasted himself. Charlie cherished his family and is survived by his wife, Janet, and his four daughters, Linda Agrati, and her husband, Guy of Monterey, Calif., Barbara Doll and her husband, Lynn of Mount Wolf, Carol Arslanian, Tenafly, N.J., and Jean Feichtl of Branchville, N.J.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wesley DelPrete of Mahwah, N.J., and Nicholas DelPrete, Toms River, N.J. Charles was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alicia Doll, and his two sisters, Marguerite Pentifallo and Lavina Prejsnar. Following cremation there will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Living Word Community Church, 2530 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion. Officiating at his service will be the Pastor Peter Johnson, his former pastor from N.J. Burial will take place in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, N.J. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
