YAKIMA, WA Charles E. Richard, 74, passed away at his home in Yakima on Wednesday, December 26, 2012. He was the husband of Terry (Grove) Richard. Mr. Richard was born July 26, 1938, in York, and was the son of the late Luther W. Richard, Sr. and Ethel (Bailey) Richard. He worked at several golf courses in the Yakima area and was a former employee of Teledyne McKay in York. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Joseph Richard of Kentucky; three grandchildren, Jerad, Victoria, and Alexis; two brothers, Luther W. Richard, Jr. and wife, Azeal, and Carl Richard and wife, Anna, both of Dallastown; and two sisters, Deloris Koller of Dallastown and Phyllis Simpson of Windsor. He was preceded in death by two sister, Mary Richard and June Kauffman. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 24, at Greenmount Cemetery, Carlisle Ave., York, by the Richard family. Pastor David A. Walker of Airville will be officiating at the service. Relatives and friends who would like to attend the service, please meet at the Carlisle Ave. entrance of the cemetery at 1:45 p.m.
