Charlotte Claytor Obituary

YORK Charlotte A. 'Sherry' Claytor, 51, of Conewago Township, died Christmas morning at her residence. She was the wife of Leonard L. Claytor, Jr. Born February 18, 1959, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a daughter of Howard E. Albright, of York, and the late Charlotte A. (Maramara) Albright, and stepdaughter of Kathleen Albright of York, she was a graduate of San Pedro California High School. For five years she directed the activities of the National March of Dimes in York County, and subsequently the National Kidney Foundation in York County. She was very successful in her fund raising activities and was always thankful for the generous support of the York Business Community and the people of York County.In addition to her husband of 21 years, and her father and stepmother, Mrs. Claytor is also survived by a son, Nicholas Furse, of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Jennifer Dobb of Camp Hill, and Jessica Lloyd, of Harrisburg; four grandchildren; a brother, Gregory S. Albright, and his wife Laurie, of Tujunga, California; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Vickie and Glenn Enders, of Dover; and her father-in-law, Leonard L. Claytor, Sr., of Dillsburg.A service to celebrate Mrs. Claytor's life will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 S. George St., York (the former Hahn Home), with The Rev. Marie K. Krueger, Pastoral Associate of Christ Lutheran Church, officiating. My deepest sympathy. I was so saddened to hear of Sherry's passing. I met Sherry through her fundraising activities with the March of Dimes. Her energy was contagious. Her spirit was true and kind. She'll be missed by many and remembered by all. Many blessings to her family.

Sherry will be truly missed. Once we met Sherry, it was easy to join her cause for the March of Dimes. As a past ambassador family, (for a few years) I can say Sherry truly cared about the children. My son Matt asks about her when you come to town. Our prayers are with the family.
