YORK HAVEN Christian Barclay Lutz, Sr., 65, was called into the presence of God, on Friday, April 12, 2013, from ManorCare North. He was the husband of Elizabeth A. (Slenker) Lutz, with whom he shared almost 40 years of marriage. Born on November 22, 1947, in York, he was the son of the late Anna A. (Meckley) and Lewin R. Lutz, Jr. Chris, as he was fondly known, served his country honorably in the U.S Navy and the Navy Reserves during the Vietnam War Era. He owned and operated Lutz TV Service, he built his first computer. Chris was a member of the Manchester Assembly of God Church where he served as an official board member and as treasurer. He served as York Haven Boro Council President and as a Cub Scout Leader for Pack #57 Webelos. Chris leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Elizabeth "Beth" Lutz of York Haven; a daughter, Amelia "Ame" Rychlak and husband Eugene "Gene", Jr. of Royersford,Pa.; son, Christian "Chris" B. Lutz, Jr. of York Haven; daughter-in-law, Laura Lutz of Mt. Wolf; two grandchildren, Claudia J. Lutz and Hayden B. Lutz of Mt. Wolf; a brother, Lewin "Rich" Richmond Lutz, III and wife, Susan of York; a sister, Nancy E. Posey and husband, Dennis of Abbottstown; a brother-in-law, Joseph A. Slenker of York; and a niece and three nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Manchester Assembly of God Church, 4115 Board Rd., Manchester. Pastor Thomas Gilman will be officiating. The York County Veterans Honor Guard will be performing full military rites at 11 a.m. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
