YORK Clair R. "Bud" Stump, 89, entered into eternal rest on September 28, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. "Bud" was born on September 5, 1923, to Allen H. and Leona (Hess) Stump. He was a veteran, serving his country with honor and pride during World War II. Afterwards, Clair became a pipefitter/plumber, retiring after 50 years. Clair was involved in his community and church. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church as well as being a proud member of the Pipefitters Local 520. Always a hard worker, Clair, after retirement, continued work at Weis Market and retired from there after 20 years. Clair had many interests. He loved camping, auto-racing, boxing and Penn State Football. His family will always remember with love his whistling and his singing in the shower. An upbeat and loving man, clair had the ability to brighten up a room by just being present. He was a dedicated father, grandfather and great grandfather and will live on in the hearts of his family and everyone who knew him. Clair is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Leona; an older brother and his younger sister, Dorothy Shrader. He is survived by his loving wife Delores A. (Spurrier) Stump; son, Greg R. Stump of Hallam; daughter, Dorinda A. Dahlheimer and husband Stephen; grandchildren Matthew Dahlheimer, Patrick Dahlheimer and wife Jaqueline, Melanie Stump and Alex Stump; and his great-grandchildren, Breanna Shorten, Marley Dahlheimer, Willow Dahlheimer, Evan Dahlheimer and Owen Woolfrey. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be a Celebration of life gathering for Clair on October 13, 2012, at 2105 Knobhill, York, PA 17403 from 1 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the
