MANCHESTER Dale W. Urey, age 79, died Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Memorial Hospital in York. He was the husband of Doris D. (Deaver) Urey. Born July 6, 1933, in Lancaster, the son of the late Paul H. and Ena M. (Fishel) Urey, he was retired from PP&L where he was a control room operator. He also served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church, Starview Sportsmen's Association, Hawk Gunning Club, Mount Wolf VFW, the Wago Club, and the Brunner's Island Club. In addition to his wife of 59 years, Mr. Urey is survived by a daughter, Debra A. Kohr, and her husband Douglas, of Manchester; a son, Dennis P. Urey, and his wife Andrea, of Wrightsville; three grandchildren, Beau Kirchner, Ethan Urey, and Evan Urey; one step grandson, Josh Bowers; one great-grandchild; four step great-grandchildren; and a sister, Darlene. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 4360 Board Road, Manchester, with his Pastors, The Rev. Chuck Sprenkle, and the Rev. Darby Nace, officiating. Viewings will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 S. Main St., Manchester, and 9:30 to 10:30 Saturday at the Church. Burial will be in Manchester Union Cemetery, with military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
