YORK Beloved husband, father, and "pop pop" Dennis I. Halsey, 62, entered into rest on Wednesday afternoon, February 20, 2013, at John Hopkins in Baltimore, Md. He was the husband of Mary (Ward) Halsey for 40 years. Dennis was born in Neptune, N.J. He was the son of the late Lloyd and Marie (Cook) Halsey. Dennis worked as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for GEA FES in York. As a professional engineer and MBA, he worked with GEA FES for over 25 years. He was also on the board of directors of IIAR and a lifetime member of ASHRAE. Dennis was a member of Saint Patrick Church. Dennis was an avid bird watcher, runner of many marathons, and New England sports fan. Most of all Dennis was a consummate family man. A visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 231 S. Beaver St., York, with the Rev. Samuel Houser officiating. A private burial will be held in Portland, Maine. Including his loving wife, Mary, Dennis is survived by son, David P. Halsey and his wife, Laurie C. Halsey of Lexington, Mass.; daughter, Leah H. St.Jean and her husband, Steve M. St.Jean of Portland, Maine; grandchildren, Laney and Jack; and brother, Alan Halsey of Whiting, N.J. Elder brother, Harold Halsey, preceded Dennis in death.
