QUARRYVILLE Retired Tech Sergeant, Donald Eugene Billet, 84, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at the VA Medical Center, Lebanon. He was married to Shirley M. (Dasey) Billet for over 34 years. Shirley died in 1986. Born January 8, 1929, in York, he was the son of the late Israel J. Billet and Anna I. (Wilders) Fitzkee. A Veteran of WWII, Donald proudly served with the U.S. Air Force from 1946 to 1967 as a Radar Tech. Following the Air Force, Donald worked as an electrician at various places and was very skilled in construction. Surviving are his five children, Katherine Irvin of Lebanon, Michael J. Billet of Quarryville, James E. Billet of Columbia, John P. Billet of York, and Sherry Blake of Mountville; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Kalcala of York. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ruth, and a brother, Clement "Skip" "Lee" Billet, Sr. Funeral services will be held at the Lampeter Church of the Brethren, 1900 Lampeter Road, Lancaster, on Monday, February 25, 2013, at 10 a.m. with Pastor John Hostetter and the Rev. Earl Ziegler officiating. Viewing 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at the convenience of the family. Kindly omit flowers.
