YORK Edna E. Hunter, 88, died at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Manor Care North. She was born March 1, 1925, in Shiloh, a daughter of the late David A. and Velma K. (Baker) Hunter. Edna retired from Memorial Hospital where she was an LPN. She later worked for PADE Auto Sales and Lutheran Senior Companions. Edna was a member of Shiloh Lutheran Church and York Farmwomen's Group. She loved animals. Edna is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack A. Hunter and Fred N. Hunter, Sr. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Edna's funeral at 10 a.m. and the viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Officiating will be her niece, Lois Groff. Memorial contributions may be made to the York County SPCA, 3159 N.
