DOVER Esther G. Wire, 92, entered into rest at 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at the Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Drive. She was the wife of the late Eugene E. Wire. They were married 65 years. Esther was born February 22, 1920, in Dover, a daughter of the late Edgar K. and Mary A. (Krone) Brillhart. She graduated from Dover Area High School. Esther was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Dover and the Dover Ambulance Club. Esther was a homemaker and had been employed by the York Bank Dover Branch. She loved her family dearly. Esther is survived by two daughters, Eva E. Craun and husband, Robert E. of York and Linda K. Barshinger and husband, Joseph E. of Dover; two grandsons, Mark Barshinger and wife, Karen and Matthew Barshinger and companion, Casey Neiman; three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Caelan and Samuel; and two sisters, Irene B. Zinn and June E. Smith both of Dover. In addition to her husband and parents, Esther was preceded in death by a brother, Ray E. Brillhart and a sister, Ethel Wood. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Esther's funeral at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church, 2001 George St., Dover. Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover. Officiating will be her Pastor, the Rev. Amy Northridge.
