STEWARTSTOWN Ethel M. Bailey, 88, formerly of Glen Rock, died Monday, December 24, 2012, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Mearle P. Bailey, whom she married June 24, 1944. There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the mortuary. Interment will be in Bethlehem Steltz Cemetery, Glen Rock. Born August 8, 1924, in Beckleysville, Md., Ethel was the daughter of the late William and Lola (Wilson) Bosley. Ethel had worked for AMP, Inc. and the former Savada Brothers sewing factory in Glen Rock. She was a member of Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church in Glen Rock since 1953 and was previously a member of the former St. Paul's United Brethren Church in Millers, Md. Ethel especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara A. Snyder and her husband, Leroy E. of Seven Valleys; granddaughters, Pamela A. Loder and her husband, Paul M. of Stewartstown, and Angela A. Griffin of Easton; five stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; one great-great-grand-daughter; and two great-great-stepgrandchildren. In addition to her late husband and parents, Ethel was preceded in death by daughters, Linda and Brenda Bailey; and 16 brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ethel's name may be made to Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church, 5890 Steltz Road, Glen Rock, PA 17327; or to Heartland Hospice, 3417- C Concord Road, York, PA 17402.
