YORK Evelyn Flinchbaugh, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 2, 2012. She was the wife of Donald E. Flinchbaugh, Sr., to whom she married July 26, 1943. Born May 9, 1920, in Spry, she was the daughter of the late Elmer D. Dietz, Sr. and Kate (Hengst) Dietz. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Flinchbaugh will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with Pastor Patricia Muller officiating. A viewing will be held from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in New Fairview Church of the Brethren Cemetery. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Flinchbaugh is survived by a son; Donald E. Flinchbaugh, Jr. and his wife Heather, three grandchildren; Angela, Daniel and Dustin Flinchbaugh; one great-grandson, Dakota Flinchbaugh; and one sister, Kathryn Ehrhart of York. Mrs. Flinchbaugh was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Flinchbaugh was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ where she was a pianist for several years. Evelyn and her husband operated a poultry farm in York Township for many years. She was a Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Mrs. Flinchbaugh's family has suggested that in lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 205 W. Main St., Dallastown, Pa 17313.
