Beverly, our sincere condolences. We really enjoyed the time we got to spend with Gary and you while we were at the Mayflower. When I arrived at the hotel in 1999 I realized the tremendous challenge Gary and his team had with maintaining that grand 75 year old hotel. His repair and maintenence budget was severely under funded so I made a deal with Gary that if I could get permission from the owners to spend the necessary money to fix up the Mayflower on the condition that we dramatically increased profits, could Gary lead his team to accomplish the job. Gary told me he definitely could and he and his team did it. Amazing, and this was all because of Gary's outstanding leadership, work ethic, strong character and his pride in the Mayflower. He was the best Chief Engineer I ever worked with in my 34 years with Marriott. It was an honor to work beside him. He was a good man!

Take care,

Love, George and Kathy Cook

Since I met Gary 36 years ago I loved him dearly. He was my husband Tom's best friend since childhood, and he was a great friend to all as he had a heart of gold. We had many things in common, our love of music, Zappa, Star Trek and much more. We had the most fun and best times when we visited. The reunions, the 50th birthday party, the late nights in the backyard deck were some of the most fun and cherished memories of my life. I can't get over that this happened so soon. Beverly there are no words to exprees the sorrow that I feel for you, and I know that you are going through a very difficult time. We are here for you whatever you might need, even though we are far away.
We will miss Gary forever, this void will never be filled.

My friend for many years...heartfelt condolences to the family. Saddens me that we lost touch, after being so close. Many memories come to mind as I pay tribute and remember the bike rides, canoe trips, brew time, overall enjoyment of his wit and spending time with friends. I will not forget you, my friend.
