WINDSOR Gene F. Pocock, 75, passed away peacefully at his home in Lower Windsor Township on October 7, 2012. He was the husband of Judith A. (Shuler) Pocock. Born February 8, 1937, in Maryland, he was the son of the late Frederick and Ester (Kratz) Pocock. Gene Proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, then being a man of multiple talents he did auto body repair and painting, worked as a mechanic on construction equipment and also drove tractor trailers in Md., and Pa., retiring from B&B Services of Lancaster. He was a avid equestrian and was a member of various horse riding clubs in Pa., and Md. He enjoyed his horses and dogs, also later in his life he started woodworking. In addition to his loving wife, Judy, Gene is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Estrada of Fl.; two adopted daughters, Terri of Fl., and Karen of Ga.; three step-daughters, Dawn Inman and husband, Kerry, Marci Johnson, and Michelle Fullerton and husband, Scott, all of York; two grandsons of Fl.; two step-grandsons of York; and a brother, Charles Kenneth Pocock and wife, Lois of Va. Gene's family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses, friends and family who assisted us in providing Gene with the quality of life which we all deserve. A special thank you to a very dear friend, Barb Knaub, for helping Gene during the many years he suffered with his heart problems. Gene has donated his body to the Anatomy Gifts Registry of Hanover, Md., for medical science and education. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Gene's life.
