MOUNT WOLF George T. Kubic, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Darlyn S. (Tweedy) Kubic. Born February 5, 1941, in Johnstown, son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Zeimba) Kubic, George was a proud U.S. Army veteran who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a life long fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates. In addition to his wife, Mr. Kubic is survived by his sons, Gregory Kubic of Rockwall, Texas, and Bryan Kubic, Sr. and fiancee, Jill Smith of Manchester; daughters, Georgette Barboni and husband, Fred of Delray Beach, Fla., and Holly Ankney and husband, David of Manchester; and daughter-in-law, Renee Kubic of Johnstown. He was the caring grandfather of Olivia and Elise Barboni, Siara and David Ankney, III, Matthew Kubic and wife, Alyssa, Nicole Kubic, and Brandon, Joshua, and Jacob Kubic; and great-grandchildren, Sienna and Braydyn Kubic. He was also survived by sisters, Mary, Catherine, Clara, and Margie. He was preceded in death by grandson, Bryan Kubic, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Azalya Kubic; brothers, Frank, Robert, and Joseph; and sisters, Julie, Rose, Josie, Jonie, and Emelia.
