YORK George W. Wilt, Jr., 80, died on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at 11 a.m. at his home. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Slonaker) Wilt with whom he celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on Febraury 14, 2013. There will be no viewing. Following cremation with Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., York, a visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, 2215 Brandywine Lane, York. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with his pastors, the Rev. Stanley W. Combs and the Rev. Dr. Janyce C. Jorgensen, officiating. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mr. Wilt was born January 14, 1933, in Trenton, N.J., and was the son of the late Rev. George W., Sr. and Ruth C. (Olp) Wilt. He was a graduate of William Penn H.S. Class of '53. He was a former employee of York-Hoover Casket Co., a shipping clerk with the former McCrory's Distribution Center and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and a life member of Mt. Zion Lodge # 74 IOOF. Mr. Wilt is survived by his wife; a son, Dennis W. Wilt and wife Patti of York; two daughters, Susan J. Penley and husband Scott and Lisa A. Rinehart and husband Robert, Jr. all of York; seven grandchildren, Travis, Zachary, Tabitha, Robyn, Ryan, Zane and Aaron; five great-grandchildren, Madyson, Lathan, Francis, Bart and Levi; a sister, Joanne Bruner of Middletown, Va.; a niece, Tracy Hughey; and a nephew, George Bruner.
