SEVEN VALLEYS Gerald L. Gentzler, 80, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012, with his family by his side at Rest Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, York, from complications of Lewy Body Disease. He was the husband of Lois J. (Lentz) Gentzler with whom he celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on January 20, 2012. Mr. Gentzler was born in North Codorus Twp. on December 27, 1931, son of the late Paul E. and Beatrice R. (Rosenzweig) Gentzler. He was employed by the former Seven Valley Garment Co., as a cutter. Gerald was a member of St. Pauls United Church of Christ in Stoverstown. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Scott Gentzler and his wife, Georgianna of York; a daughter, Pamela Harbold and her husband, Charles "Ted" of Jacobus; a stepson, Steven Miller and his companion, Barb Brannon of York; three grandchildren, Steven, Sarah, Christie; four great-grandchildren, Luke, Rachel, Isaac, Hanna; and a sister, Reda Kauffman of York New Salem. He was preceded in death by a son, Craig Gentzler; and a grandson, Michael Gentzler. There will be a viewing from 9 to 10 a.m., Thursday at the Robert M. Goodling Funeral Service, 62 Main St., Seven Valleys. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. with his pastor, the Rev. Dennis L. Weidler officiating. Final resting place will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Jacobus. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ, 2173 Stoverstown Rd., Spring Grove, PA 17362.
