YORK Helen Corinne (Stiner) Diem, 86, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 1:48 p.m. at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frank C. Diem, Jr. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary U.M. Church, the corner of W. Market St. and N. Richland Ave., York, with the service to follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Her assistant pastor, the Rev. Roland E. Garvin, will officiate and interment will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., York, is handling the arrangements. Mrs. Diem was born November 15, 1925 in Renovo and was the daughter of the late George and Leona (Gates) Stiner. Helen was a homemaker who volunteered over the years at Yorktowne Center, the Cancer Center of York, and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Calvary U.M. Church belonging to the EverMerry Circle, the Women's Society, and the Worship Committee. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Diem is survived by son, Frank R. Diem and wife Cherie of York; daughter, Marsha C. Snyder and husband Dennis of Dover, and son Thomas G. Diem and wife Tina of Dover. She is also survived by eight dearly loved grandchildren, Wendy, Amie, Jennifer, Adam, Brandon, Kelly, Kaci and Jourdan; nine precious great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kaylin, Logan, Trevor, Dylan, Hannah, Madelyn, Ryan and Brody; two brothers, John Stiner of Santa Barbara, Calif. and Raymond Stiner of Montoursville; and several nieces and a nephew.
