Iva Nace

WRIGHTSVILLE Iva (Becker) Nace, 89, died Friday, January 9, 2015 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Reverend James R. Nace. The couple had celebrated 63 years of marriage. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13. 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 243 Hellam St., Wrightsville, with her pastor, The Reverend Barbara Caruana officiating the service. A visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Nace was born in York on April 26, 1925, the daughter of the late Carl E. and Iva E. (Klinedinst) Becker. Mrs. Nace was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wrightsville. As a pastor's wife she was active in various church activities and organizations. She had a big heart and was a mom to many. There was always room for one more at the dinner table. She was a graduate of Dover High School and Thompson Business School. As a youth she was active in the Luther League at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in York and was active with the USO. She was also an avid Orioles Baseball fan. Mrs. Nace is survived by five children, Martha A. Krotzer and husband, Charles, Todd A. Nace and wife, Mary Jo, David A. Nace and wife, Sherry, Sally E. Kauffman and husband, Bradley and Suzanne E. Nace-Jones and wife, Kathy; an "adopted" daughter, Lori Swengel; 10 grandchildren, Aubri Sweeney and husband, Jeff, Nathan Krotzer and wife, Bethany, Austin Krotzer and wife, Olga, Amanda Mountz and husband, Dan, Lydia Wissler and husband, Michael, Jennifer Haney and husband, Dan, Kayla Nace, Nicole Noll and husband, Matt, Katelynn Strittmatter and husband, Andrew and Taryn Nace; 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Patricia A. McCurdy and Shirley R. Davis. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy J. Nace.
