YORK Jack Leroy Dillman, 75, died on November 23, 2012, at ManorCare North, after his long struggle with Alzheimer's. He was the husband of Bona Bollinger Dillman. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St, York. Jack was born May 9, 1937, in Lewistown, the son of Olie Margaret Goodman and Gervis "Red" Dillman. Jack graduated from Milton Hershey Boys School in 1955. He was a Supervisor of Maintenance at ACCO, a member of Salem UCC Church, Jacobus, and a Deputy in the Pennsylvania Game Commission Jacks family includes his late wife, Romaine Smith Dillman; daughters, Joy Larue Dillman and Jill Dillman-Stull; and step daughters, Michelle and Donna Battistella; sisters, LaRue Nicolay Strope, Jeanie Nicolay Auffret; brothers; George "Bud" Dillman, Thomas Edward Dillman and Gervis "Pete" Thompson; half siblings, Bob and Sherry Dillman; grandsons, Ryan Michael and Nathan Todd Stull; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Generous, loving and kind were words to describe Jack, a cowboy at heart. This true outdoorsman was always planning his next hunting or fishing trip, or family visits to Blue Knob or Arizona. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army in York.
