Escobar-Calderon YORK Jaime Escobar-Calderon, 54, entered into the presence of God, on Sunday, November 25, 2012, from the York Hospital. He was the husband of Norma Escobar. Born on June 6, 1958, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Felicita Calderon and Cecilio Escobar-Villalongo. Mr. Escobar was a truck driver who was self-employed and worked for various trucking companies, including D.E. Hartman of York. He attended the Movimiento Internacional Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Norma Escobar of York; six children, Jaime Escobar, Anibal Escobar, J. Miguel Escobar, all of Puerto Rico, Vanessa Escobar, Melissa Escobar, Jaime Rafael Escobar, all of York; seven grandchildren; three siblings, Amaparo Salgado of Ohio, Marilyn Silva of New Jersey and Abraham Escobar of Puerto Rico; and a host of family and friends. The viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday at the Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market St., York. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at noon with Pastor Ramon Rivera officiating. Interment will be Mount Rose Cemetery. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., York, is entrusted with arrangements.

I am saddened to learn of Jaime's passing. I know how much he loved his family and children. My thoughts and prayers are with the Escobar family.
