SHREWSBURY James E. "Jim" McCauley, 80, went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2013. He was the devoted husband of Maryann C. (Fleischel) McCauley, together for 53 wonderful years. Jim was born on February 11, 1933 in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Thomas and Charlotte (Ende) McCauley. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday from Grace Fellowship Church, 74 E. Forrest Ave., Shrews-bury, with the Rev. Mark E. Fair officiating. Food and beverage will be served during a visitation to be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, is assisting with arrangements. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Jim worked for AT&T for 42 years. He and his wife were the owners of "Maryann's Corner" in New Freedom, Shrews-bury, and Stewartstown and also operated a daycare in Shrewsbury for 20 years. He was an avid Steelers fan. Jim attended Grace Fellowship Church in Shrewsbury. In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by four sons, James F. McCauley, Jr. and his wife, Pam of York, Jeffrey S. McCauley and his wife, Lesa of Laurenceville, Ga., Stephen J. McCauley and his wife, Laura of Dallastown, and David P. McCauley and his wife, Lorie of Shrewsbury. In addition, he leaves behind eight grandchildren, Jessica, Wendy, Tiffany, Savannah, Cassidy, Jeremy, Darian, and Brynn; one great grandchild, Blake; a sister, Elizabeth Babilon of Staunton, Va.; and two brothers, Thomas and Robert McCauley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
