YORK Janet D. Gibson, 67, entered into rest Thursday morning at Shrewsbury Lutheran Home. She was the wife of the late Wayne B. Gibson, Sr. She was born April 5, 1945 in Lancaster, the daughter of the late Robert R. and Willetta C. (Bender) Witman. Janet worked as a school teacher for Northeastern School District retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and spent many years on the church council. She also worked the polls in Sprigettsbury Township during elections. She was a member of the Salvation Army Ladies Auxiliary. Janet enjoyed traveling to many places including Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, Paris, Barcelona, South Africa, Zambia and Botswana. She also attended many NASCAR Races. Janet is survived by a son, Robert W. Gibson of York; and daughters, Susan E. Gibson and her husband, Michael Tuffy of Middletown, and Evonne M. Myers and her husband, Paul of Felton; five grandchildren, Angela D. Gouker, Heather D. Strickler, Nicole D. Myers, Michael "TJ" Tuffy and Gibson Piper Tuffy; and a great-grandson, Ray. She enjoyed watching her grandson TJ play soccer and baseball. A viewing will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church 700 E. Market St. York, with a funeral service to follow at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Geib officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The John W.
