HANOVER Janet Mae (Glatfelter) Coulson, 87, formerly of Shiloh, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Utz Terrace in Hanover. She was the loving wife of Lester R. Coulson, who passed away in 1985. Janet was born in York, on August 21, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Herbert Glatfelter and Ruth (Baker) Glatfelter. She graduated from West York High School class of 1945 and worked as a sales woman in retail and for Avon. She was a member of Shiloh American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Viking Athletic Association, and a former member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church and Union Lutheran Church in York. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey L. Coulson and wife, Angela of Spring Grove; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy E. Coulson-Moesta; her brother, Herbert Glatfelter, Jr.; and her granddaughter, Kelly Moesta. A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service PC, 175 N Main St., Spring Grove, with the Rev. Greg Seckman officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service at Shiloh Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
