YOE Jerry M. Dover, 51, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at his home. He was born March 11, 1961, in Phoenix, Ariz., the son of Betty L. Kohler (Taylor) Dover of Ephrata and the late James B. Dover. Jerry graduated in 1979 from Dallastown High School where he was a member of the football and track teams. He later graduated from the Art Institute of York, formerly the Antonelli Art Institute, with a Bachelors of Arts Degree. For over 30 years, he was employed with Gerdau Ameristeel, York and was a part-time wedding photographer. Jerry was a wonderful artist, enjoyed camping, general carpentry and was an avid Penn State Football fan. In addition to his mother, Jerry is survived by his brother, Rick A. Dover and wife, Cynthia L. of Ephrata; sister, Kathe D. Trimble and husband, Kerry of Lititz; nieces and nephews, Andrew, Jordan, Sarah and Mallory Dover all of Ephrata, Maggie Trimble of San Diego, Calif., Dustin Trimble and wife Jessica of Mt. Joy and Zachary and Hailie Trimble both of Lititz; great-niece, Lydia Trimble of San Diego, Calif.; many aunts and uncles; and his faithful Golden Retriever companion Thumper. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents C. Alfred and Katherine Taylor, and his paternal grandparents Glenn and Hallie Dover and Tollie and Vira Brown. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Dallastown with Rev. Curtis R. Weber officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Blymires Cemetery, Dallastown.
