YORK Joan R. Drust, 78, entered life eternal Saturday, December 22, 2012, from York Hospital. She was the wife of Frank W. Drust for 59 years. Born in Wilkes-Barre on November 4, 1934, Joan was the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (McLaughlin) Dowling. She was a cafeteria worker at York College for 38 years. Joan was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Shiloh American Legion Post 791 and St. Mary's Merry Makers. Viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St., York. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at St. Mary's Church, 309 S.George St., York with the Rev. Jonathan Sawicki as celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Drust is survived by two daughters, Patricia J. Drust of Hagerstown, Md., and Kimberly A. Smith and husband, Shayne of York; four grandchildren, Melissa, Erin, Brandyn and Dylan; one great-granddaughter, Jordin; one sister, Grace H. Grim of Dover; and many nieces and nephews.
