ABBOTTSTOWN John M. Wilhide fell asleep in death on Saturday, March 9, 2013. He was the husband of Shirley Miller Wilhide, whom he married September 8, 1957. He was born October 25, 1934, and was the son of late John M. Wilhide, Sr. and Thelma Wilhide. Mr. Wilhide was a member and elder of the Pigeon Hills Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was an elder serving in various congregations in York, Gettysburg, Hanover, and Lutherville, Md. He also served as a volunteer worker on the construction of Kingdom Halls. He was the owner of John M. Wilhide Plumbing & Heating, Inc. since 1979. He is survived by three sons, Darryl Wilhide, Daniel Wilhide and his wife Michelle, and Joel Wilhide; two grandchildren, Austin and Blake. A memorial service will be held on March 23, 2013, at 3 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1620 Youngs Rd., Hanover, Pennsylvania.
