YORK Leonard "Len" Francis Eck, 89, died on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Janet F. (Divet) Eck to whom he was married for 60 years. Born in York, on October 28, 1923, he was the son of the late Henry and Helen (Leonard) Eck. He was a truck driver for York Transportation and then St. Johnsbury Trucking, and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 430. Len served in the Navy during World War II. He was a 1941 graduate of York Catholic High School. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Patricia Keim and her husband, Peter of York, and Debra Eck of Hanover; a son, Glenn Eck of Ambler; four grandchildren, Julie, Andrew, and Sarah Keim, and Rebekah Schmidt; and two great-grandchildren, Drew and Caden Schmidt. He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Eck. At Len's request, there will be no services.
