HANOVER Louise Ellen Sipe, 85, formerly of York, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at home. She was the wife Paul Curtis Sipe, Sr., who passed away August 26, 2006. Born June 28, 1927, in Waynesboro, she was a daughter of the late Ida E. (Schildt) and George A. Bowders, Sr. Surviving are her two sons, Paul C. Sipe, Jr. and his wife, Shirley of Abbottstown and Perry L. Sipe, Sr. and his wife, Kathy of Dover; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, Mrs. Sipe is preceded in death by her daughter, Joan E. Mong; her son, Richard A. Sipe; her grandson, Anthony Sipe; her granddaughter, Casey Carpenter; her brother, Jack E. Bowders; her brother George A. Bowders, Jr.; and her sister, Ida Bowders. A memorial service celebrating the life of Mrs. Sipe will be held Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 6 p.m. at Family Life Church of God, 233 Carlisle St., New Oxford, with Pastor John Goff officiating.
