HANOVER Margaret A. Gyenes, 69, entered into God's eternal care, Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at the York Hospital. Margaret was the loving wife of John J. Gyenes, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage. Born November 27, 1944, in Elizabeth, N.J., she was the daughter of the late John and Teresa (Pajor) Fogle. Margaret was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hanover, where she was active in volunteering with the Thrift Shop and the Bereavement Committee. She was also a former member and president of the ladies of the Knights of Columbus. Margaret enjoyed gardening, volunteering, traveling, and crafts. In addition to her husband, John, Margaret is survived by two sons, Mark R. Gyenes and wife, Karen of Camp Lejeune, N.C., and Scott M. Gyenes and wife, Bonnie of York; five grandchildren, Patrick, Brendan, Connor, Sophia, and Madison; and one sister, Rosemary Zednick of Carey, N.C. She was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond J. Fogle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, with Msgr. James M. Lyons as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Hanover. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Margaret may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5055 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA 17331.
