Mark W. Bachman, 88, went home to heaven, Wednesday, December 26, 2012. He was the loving husband of Marian J. (Kohr) Bachman, with whom he shared over 65 years of marriage. Born September 25, 1924, the son of the late Walter and Anna (Hostetter) Bachman of Lebanon, he graduated from Lebanon High School and served in the Army Air Corps in Africa during WWII. He retired from Standard Register after 33 years as a pressman. He was a long time member of New Fairview Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed singing, bowling, managing and playing softball, and sharing stories with family and friends. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, son, Anthony Bachman and wife, Debra of Dover, and daughters, Joanne Myers and husband, Glenn of Dallastown, Teresa Bachman of Dallastown, and Lorraine Barone and husband, Edward of Williamsport; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by two brothers, Walter Bachman of York and David Bachman of Lebanon. He was preceded in death by a brother, Luke Bachman, and a sister, Nancy (Bachman) Scheer. A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012, at New Fairview Church of the Brethren, 1873 New Fairview Church Road, York, with Pastors Dale Markey and Wayne Hartman officiating. Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday. A private burial will be in Manchester Lutheran Cemetery. The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W.
