YORK Marvin Franklin Kohlbus, Sr., 84, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. He was the husband of Bonnie R. (Shadell) Kohlbus with whom he was married for 63 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2012, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Rev. Lanny Kilgore officiating. A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born November 30, 1928, in York a son of the late William Kohlbus and the late Louise V. (Platts) and Raymond Eisenhour, he was a 1947 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Mr. Kohlbus had worked at York Casket Co., Alloy Rods/Arc Chemtron, was a Vice President at Teledyne McKay, and was the former President of RMK Enterprises, Ltd. He enjoyed weight lifting and was a drummer with Bud Reeser in various bands that played Big Band and Jazz music. In addition to his wife, Mr. Kohlbus is survived by a son, Marvin F. Kohlbus, Jr. of York; a daughter, Yvonne S. and husband Stephen Royer of East Prospect; three grandchildren, Angela and husband Joseph Lindemuth, Tina and husband Neil Mahoney, and Stephen Royer, Jr. and families; two great grandchildren, Leah DeJesus and Brittany Mort; and three great great grandchildren, Alivia and Carter DeJesus, and Zane Dutton. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Marvin F. Kohlbus, III. Memorial contributions may be made to American Red Cross, 724 S.
