YORK Mary A. (Williams) Hoffman, 95, passed away on August 4, 2013, at The Haven at Springwood in York. She was the loving wife of the late Sprugeon E. Hoffman who passed away in 1999. Mary was born in York, on December 5, 1917, and was the daughter of the late Asa J. Williams and Hattie Mae (Crumling) Williams. She was a tailor and a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Spring Grove. She is survived by her sons, Larry E. Hoffman and wife Bonnie of Manchester and Darrell E. Hoffman and wife Patricia of Spring Grove; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Williams of York; her sister, Phyllis Hershey of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two great-grandchildren; her brothers, George, Ray and Harry Williams; and her sister, Grace Crumbling. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 S. Main St., Spring Grove, with the Rev. Daniel V. Biles III officiating. Interment will be held privately by the family. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service PC, 175 N. Main St. Spring Grove.
