NEW FREEDOM Mary L. Adams, 94, died Sunday, February 17, 2013, at Manor Care - Kingston Court, York. She was the wife of the late Earl "Wes" Adams. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a future date. Born June 5, 1918, in Hametown, Mary was the daughter of the late Howard E. and Maggie F. (Henry) Deveney. Mary was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and had been a member of their Friendly Neighbors. She also was a member of Rose Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, New Freedom, and a member of AARP. She retired from A.A.I. in the early 1980's after 20 years of service. Surviving are two daughters, Linda M. Bradfield and her late husband, James of New Freedom, and Judy Vinson and her husband, David of York; two sons, Edwin R. Adams and wife, Mary of Stoystown, and Ronald L. Adams and wife, Barbara of Hampstead, Md.; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and one sister, Kathryn Albright of York. She was predeceased by a son, Richard E. Adams; and two brothers, Kenneth and Marvin Deveney. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, P.O.
