Melvin G. Wintermyer Obituary
ENOLA Melvin Glenn Wintermyer, 87, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013, at Holy Spirit Hospital. Born in Goldsboro, York County, he was the son to the late Charles and Ida Jane (Fisher) Wintermyer. Glenn was a U.S. Navy Veteran and was a retired aircraft repair technician with the New Cumberland Army Depot. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, a member of the church's Senior Adult Ministry, Peanut Butter Egg Project, and counting team. He enjoyed gardening and was a farmer at heart. Melvin was the last of his siblings. Surviving are his wife, Carol Wintermyer; four sons, Barry Wintermyer, Dale Wintermyer, Rodney Wintermyer, and Brian Wintermyer and wife, Cheryle; a daughter, Brenda Marzolf and companion, Jimmie Waters; a stepdaughter, Susan Rickard; a stepson, William Rickard and wife, Davonna; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 225 Salt Road, Enola 17025. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Fr. Michael J. Grab as celebrant. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either his church; or Catholic Charities, 4800 Union Deposit Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111. The Dailey Funeral Home is honored to serve the Wintermyer family.
