BROGUE Michael "MoJo" "Mike" S. Johnson, 62, entered into rest unexpectedly on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at 9 a.m. at York Hospital. He was the husband of Carol M. (Sparks) Johnson, whom he married on July 11, 1987, celebrating 25 years of marriage. He was born in Tiffin, Ohio, on July 8, 1950, the son of the late Harry J. and Beatrice M. (Ryman) Johnson. He was an electrician at Excelon (former PECO) for 26 years. He attended Chanceford Presbyterian Church and was a Masonic member. Mike, fondly known as Mojo to his friends, loved the New Jersey Beach especially Sea Isle, he enjoyed listening to Motown music, was an avid Phillies fan, he loved the sun and flip flops. Mike was a wonderful husband and father who was always fun to be with and ended all conversations with his daughters and sister with "I Love You Darlin". In addition to his wife, Carol M. (Sparks) Johnson of Brogue, he has two daughters, Molly M. Walker and husband, Kurt of Chesapeake, Va., and Emily A. Johnson of Arlington, Va.; one sister, Ann J. Lorence and husband Richard, Sr. of Vineland N.J.; two brothers, Rodney J. Johnson and wife Ellen M. of Bethesda, Md., and Sidney L. Johnson and wife Paula of Miami Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no viewing. Family and friends are invited to extend their condolences on Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Chanceford Presbyterian Church., Airville. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion will be handling the arrangements. A service to celebrate the life of Michael will begin at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with his pastor, the Rev. Guy W. Dunham, officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
