YORK Miriam M. Blasser, 86, was carried home by the Angels to be with the Lord after a brief battle with cancer on Friday, February 8, 2013, from Manor Care Health Services - Kingston Court. She was the wife of Nevin L. Blasser, who passed away in 2003. Born October 4, 1926, in York, she was the daughter of the late Albert F. and Emma I. (Duncker) Emig. Miriam was a 1944 graduate of William Penn Senior High School and attended Living Word Community Church. She loved taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Jeffery S. Blasser and his wife, Gini of York, and Todd A. Blasser and his wife, Cindy of York; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris Blasser and her husband, Harry of York.In addition to Miriam's loving husband Nevin, she was predeceased by a son Craig T. Blasser, who died in 2009. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday February 12, 2013, in the Life Center of Living Word Community Church, 2530 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, with Pastor Robert A. Tucker officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
