NEW OXFORD Nevin E. Baker, 91, formerly of York, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Cross Keys Village. He was the husband of the late Louise M. (Miller) Baker. Nevin was born in York on June 3, 1920, a son of the late Edgar Allen and Ethel Mae (Grove) Baker. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. Nevin retired as a furniture salesman with Sears, Roebuck & Company. He was a graduate of East Berlin High School. Mr. Baker is survived by a brother, Donald Baker of Hanover; a sister, Ruthanna Livers of York; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather at the entrance of Greenmount Cemetery, 721 Carlisle Ave., York at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 for a 10:30 a.m. graveside service.
