YORK Pauline B. Gladfelter, 92, died Monday, December 2, 2013, at Manor Care Health Services-Kingston Court under respite care of Heartland Hospice. She was the wife of Harry E. Gladfelter, who died in 1983. Born May 14, 1921, in York, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Norma (Honold) Furst. Pauline was the last survivor of 10 children. Pauline retired from Tioga Weaving Mill. She was a member of Yorkshire United Methodist Church and attended Red Lion Senior Center. She is survived by a son, Garrison E. Gladfelter, Sr. and his wife, Helen of York, with whom she lived for 40 years; a grandson, Garrison E. Gladfelter, Jr. and his fiance, Kim Fitzpatrick of York; three great-granddaughters, Alexandra, Gabriella, and Michaela all of York; and numerous nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York with the Rev. Forrest S. "Bud" Bish, associate pastor of Yorkshire United Methodist Church, officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Private burial will be held Friday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
