YORK Raymond "Dink" E. Kauffman, Jr., 55, husband of Penny J. Kauffman, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at his home. Born in York on January 27, 1958, he was the son of the late Raymond E., Sr. and Sylvia I. Kauffman. Raymond and Penny would have celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on March 15, 2013. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Heather Kauffman of Dover and Amanda Bayman and husband Jason of Wrightsville; and his two beloved granddaughters, Dakoda Kauffman and Kohana Bayman; and several brothers and sisters. Raymond was an employee of York Container Co. since 1978. He was an avid Steelers fan and loved to fish for trout and bass. His devotion to his family and friends and his sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed life to the fullest and there was never a dull moment when Raymond was around! He opened his heart to anyone in need and was very giving throughout his life; he continued his giving even after his death. In keeping with his wishes, Raymond's corneas were donated to Gift of Life Donors Program and his body was donated to the International Institute for the Advancement of Medicine.
