YORK Robert J. Brubaker, 65, of Springettsbury Twp., died on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Gertrude L. (Byers) Brubaker with whom he celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary on December 21, 2011. There will be no viewing. Following cremation with Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., York a Memorial Gathering will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at Mr. Brubaker's residence. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Mr. Brubaker was born September 11, 1946 in Shamokin, the son of the late John R. and Rita O. (Reidinger) Brubaker. He was a former employee of Sylvania, an inspector with Caterpillar for 29 years, and a co-founder and former partner of R.J. Brubaker Painting. He was a graduate of York Catholic H.S. Class of '65 for which he played football along with the Boys Club, an avid fisherman, animal lover, played with the CAT Golf League, and enjoyed muscle cars and woodworking. Mr. Brubaker is survived by his wife; two sons, John A. Brubaker of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and Todd M. Brubaker of York; a daughter, Jessica J. Ward of York; four grandchildren; a stepson, Scott A. Beaverson of York; three stepdaughters, Sarah Beaverson of Annville, Jessica Waltemyer and Jennifer Coble both of York; five step grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; a brother, Frederick Brubaker of Salem, N.H.; and a sister, Susan Galligan of Nashua, N.H.
