GLEN ROCK Robert W. Scheuerman, Sr., 71, died Thursday, January 23, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Mary M. (Hege) Scheuerman for 46 years. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, at Gunpowder Baptist Church, 20074 Middletown Road, Freeland, Md., with Pastor Robert A. Bourcier officiating. J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., New Freedom, is assisting the family with arrangements. Robert was born March 7, 1942, in Baltimore, Md., a son of the late Robert G. and Marie (Keebler) Scheuerman. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed by Westinghouse Elevator of Baltimore as an elevator mechanic for 20 years. He was a member of the IUEC Local #7, Baltimore, the Austin L. Grove American Legion Post 403, Glen Rock, and Gunpowder Baptist Church. He enjoyed writing cards to his friends and family. In addition to his wife Mary, he leaves two sons, Robert W. Scheuerman, Jr. of Glen Rock and James F. Scheuerman of Chincoteague, Va.; two grandchildren, Crystal Fisher and Cory McArdle; two great-granddaughters; a brother, Chester Scheuerman of Baltimore, Md.; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions in Robert's name may be made to the , 924-N Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403.
