SENECAVILLE, OH Ruth Elaine (Miley) Secrest, 66, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Country View Assisted Living. She was born June 6, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Roger and Roberta E. (Reese) Miley. Ruth was a 1965 graduate of Byesville High School and was primarily a secretary, having been employed with Oare-Sanders, York, Shield/Alloy, and Gichner Shelter Systems. However, she received a Paralegal Certificate from Penn State in 1989, a Bachelor of Science in History from York College in 1994, and a Licensed Practical Nurse degree. She was a member of Senecaville United Methodist Church where she was very active. She volunteered at Grace Pantry and Secrest Senior Center. Ruth is survived by one son, Jason Secrest of Arlington, Va.; and former husband, Raymond Lee Secrest of Senecaville, Ohio. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Senecaville United Methodist Church, where services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Tom Matus officiating. Burial will follow at Senecaville Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Guernsey County Cancer Society, 927 E.
