Adams, III DUNNELLON, FL Samuel Shelby (Skip) Adams, III, died Friday, November 16, 2012, at his home in Dunnellon from pancreatic cancer. He was born on August 22, 1933, in York, to Samuel S. Adams Jr. and Mildred (King) Adams. He is survived by his wife, June (Gray) Adams, two sons, Scott, Matthew and his wife Holly; a sister Ann Parks; and three granddaughters, Kerri, Julia and Jessica Adams. Two sons, Mark and Bret Adams preceded him in death. He graduated from Sparks High School, Sparks, in 1951 and served in the Merchant Marines. He was a heavy equipment operator, he later owned and operated a Clover Farm grocery store and later still, AA Advertising Specialties. He was active in the Cub and Boy Scouts, served on the Board of New Life for Children and Mothers, Salem United Methodist Church and Dunnellon First Assembly of God. His favorite hobbies were flying miniature airplanes, fishing and boating. A memorial service will be celebrated at New Covenant Community Church, Delta, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, with interment at 10 a.m. in Black Rock Cemetary, Butler, MD., on Dec 14th.
