CLINTON, MAINE Steven R. D. Miller, 55, died January 8, 2013, at the VA Maine Health Care System at Togus after a courageous battle with Brain Cancer. He was the son of Robert L. Miller and Faye B. (Haldeman) Miller. Steve graduated from the high school in Padonia, MD and served honorably as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1976 until 1980. He was employed as a mason by various contractors from Maine to Florida for many years. Steve was a member of Brown Memorial United Methodist Church of Clinton. He is survived by his life partner, Patricia "Patty" Lacasse of Clinton, Maine; his father, Robert Miller of Wrightsville; his mother, Faye Holtzinger of York; his step-father, Donald G. Holtzinger of York; his two daughters, Eve Marie Campbell and Katherine Faye Campbell, both of Clinton, Maine; one brother, Mark Miller of York; one sister, Diane Downhour of Salt Lake City, Utah; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Steve's greatest joys were his family and his love of music. He played the guitar, sang and wrote music, several of which were copy written. Friends and family may visit from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Plummer Funeral Home, 983 Ridge Road, Windsor, Maine where a funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Committal with military honors will be in the chapel at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta, ME at Noon on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013.
