THOMASVILLE Theron N. "Wimp" Rinehart, 79, died at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. He was the husband of Janet M. (McMaster) Rinehart for 54 years. Born January 29, 1933, in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Maurice A. and Katherine Elizabeth (Swartz) Rinehart. Theron served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict, earning the honor of special rifle/pistol marksman. He was a member of the Cement Masons and Plasterers Union Local No. 592 for 54 years, retiring in 1995. He was past president and lifetime member of the East Berlin Fish and Game Assoc., member of the National Rifle Association and a lifetime member of both the West York VFW Post #8951 and the Shiloh American Legion Post #791. Theron enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son and grandsons, visiting with his children and friends, especially long time childhood friend George Myers of East Berlin (thanks George for the many, many visits and meals). He also truly enjoyed his weekly Bible studies with Tom and Sue (thank you). In additition to his wife, Janet, Theron is survived by a daughter, Angela F. Hoke and husband, Dennis of Thomasville; a son, Theron N. Rinehart, Jr. and wife, Jo of Dover; a daughter, Sally Shoemaker and husband Steven of Thomasville; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Grebinger and Gloria Miller; and a brother, Adrian Rinehart. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
