McSherry GLEN ROCK Wayne E. McSherry, 44, died peacefully at home on April Tuesday, 24, 2012, surround-ed by his family. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, with the Rev. Melissa A. McDade officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Interment will be in New Freedom Cemetery. Born January 3, 1968, in York, a son of Pauline T. (Ruth) McSherry of Glen Rock and the late Larry E. McSherry, Sr. Wayne attended Susquehannock High School. He was a self employed contractor for 30 years, an expert Stone Mason and also worked on the family farm. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and raising Beagles. His greatest passion was being an accomplished and locally recognized Bluegrass musician. Playing with various local bands, he was also dedicated to playing at benefits to raise money for individuals and organizations. Among his musical credits, he had the privilege of playing with Bluegrass artists such as, Jimmy Martin, Del McCoury, Rhonda Vincent and Little Jimmie Dickens. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a fiancee, Lisa D. Zartman of Glen Rock; siblings, Rick E. McSherry and his wife, Jeannie of New Freedom, Joanne D. Rehmeyer and her companion, Rodger Bowman of Shrewsbury, Jerry E. McSherry and his companion, Ellen Klunk of Glen Rock, Diane M. McSherry and her companion, Ed Willwert of Stewartstown, Bonnie S. Kelly and her husband, Adam of Felton and Larry E. McSherry, Jr. and his companion, Moira Sheckells of Felton. He is also survived by step-daughters, Jessica and Sabree Zartmen; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., P.O.
